Pictures are Us

For many many years, John has been an active picture maker. In the 5th grade he obsessively drew a cartoon Mexican sporting a sombrero. Later, he went to art school and became a painter. Still later, he wrote software to create digital abstractions.

He also did a series of Photoshop images in a buffoonish manner.

He also has played around a good bit with making abstract animations in Flash.

Judging from this poster (on the right), it seems like John has been involved in the film industry for a very long time indeed.

There have long been rumors that John and Jean Harlow had "a thing going on". Were they an "item"? This candid photo (on the left) of them cheek to cheek would seem to confirm these rumors.

For indeed, this appears to be a genuine movie poster from an infamous 1920's era film that precipitated the so-called Hays Code.

It has been said that after the numerous takes of the "cleansing scene", Miss Harlow could not sit down for a month. But we are happy to report that her butt eventually regained the springy elasticity that made it such a celebrtated icon of its time.
